Faith Fitness Sermon Series, Part 4
We are in the middle of a sermon series called Faith Fitness. On January 6th, I talked about how the Christian must "Give Up" on making ourselves better. Then on January 13, I talked about the Christian's need to develop personal spiritual disciplines to enjoy God and His family. Last Sunday, I continued to explore the rich opportunities of cultivating personal habits in prayer, Bible study, fellowship and giving. The big idea is this: Nothing I can do will impress a perfect God. We are valuable because God loves us--that's it! Our motivation for Faith Fitness is to walk more personally with Him, not to perform for Him.
St Joe Q&A is a (usually) weekly forum for questions and answers that build on Sunday sermons and explore how God is working in Fort Wayne. New shows publish on Wednesday mornings. Do you have a question about Sunday's sermon or a show idea? Contact Chris Mann at Chris.Mann@ReSermon.com.
Does Heaven have a heart for Harvard?Today on the St Joe Q&A Podcast, we spoke with Harvard sophomore Joel Byman, son Pastor Greg Byman. Joel is a member of Hope Fellowship Church in Cambridge, MA, and leader of Cru ministry. Can a young Christian student survive and even thrive in an elite educational environment like Harvard?

A note from Pastor Byman on this seminar:
"This Handgun Education Seminar is led by my good friend Kevin Pensinger, a current Roanoke Police Officer and recently retired Conservation Officer. I invite you to attend this free information seminar. St Joe Community Church neither endorses nor restricts legally concealed weapons, but we ask anyone currently carrying or thinking about carrying to attend this seminar. This is part of our overall strategy to increase safety for all who participate in our worship and other ministry activities. I welcome any questions you may have. Alternatively, contact Kevin directly through the contact information on the flyer hosted on the website, here. Sincerely, Greg"

Everybody is on a journey of spiritual discovery and St Joe Community Church is a place where you can process your beliefs and hang out with people at various stages in their own faith journey. St Joe invites you to participate with us as we celebrate, contemplate and activate our faith through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
To that end, as you're ready, when you're ready, please fill out the Connection Card included in the bulletin every Sunday, or just go online to our website and fill out the information there. Doing so does not mean you're applying for membership or becoming obligated for anything in anyway; it's just a step toward getting acquainted. Above all, I pray that God will restore your hope, renew your love and increase your faith as you get to know the St Joe family. Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about us! --Pastor Greg Byman
