-------- DERBY WEEKEND SPECIAL --------

BERKO HOLD THE LOCAL BRAGGING RIGHTS

It was a great weekend for both Ladies and Men's 1s who notched up Derby wins against our near neighbours. Not only did they beat Tring and West Herts respectively but in both cases they managed the double (having beaten them both earlier in the season as well).

The Ladies 1s (Pictured above) had a stormer of a game. Beating Tring 5-2 including a brace from Rosie Bartholomew. Player of the match went to Emily Alderson who was magnificent on her debut.
The Ladies 1s are in a 3-way battle for two promotion spots. This could be a very exciting last couple of months to the season. Match Report

And the Men’s 1s beat West Herts 4-3 goals from Pete Allam x2 Tom Villa x1 and Ollie Bowman x1. A very hard fought victory that sees the Berko go 10-points clear in 2nd place and very close to confirming their promotion back to Division 2. Match Report

The Ladies 3’s (pictured above) had an end to end game against Bedford, and came away with a 2-0 victory. Goal scorers were Jennifer Silver and Charlotte Holland, who scored with a reverse stick strike. Player of match went to Jennifer Silver. Match Report

The Men’s 3s played beautifully to record 1-5 win away at Letchworth. They are on a fine run of results which means they are now out of the relegation zone. Match Report

The Ladies 2s went down fighting losing 2-1 against Shefford & Sandy in the morning game at RAF Halton. The Berko goal was scored by Emily Hogan. Well done to the team who then filling the stands (pictured above) to support the Ladies 1s in their brilliant win against Tring

The Men’s 2s (pictured above) lost 2-0 against Shefford and Sandy at Tring. It's fair to say that but for a stunning performance by the defence, it could have been a lot more. Not surprisingly the defensive unit shared the Man of the Match votes with the spoils going to goalie Mark Johnson Match Report

In what sounds like a brilliant game, the Men's 5s lost 3-1 against Shefford and Sandy. Well done for such a great match report. Match Report

The Men’s 4s lost 4-1 against Bishop Stortford. The Berko goal was scored by Simon Barron. Match Report

IT'S BACK - BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE!

The BERKO FANTASY HOCKEY LEAGUES

How are you doing as a player? If you've entered a team into the Fantasy League, how is your team getting on?

FANTASY LEAGUE - Managers Table

No really big climbers this week in the Fantasy League table, as points seem to have been fairly evenly distributed. However some good news for Ben Moorhouse, who after narrowly missing out on the Manager of Week award last week, nabs this week’s prize after his team climbed for the 4th successive week. Your drink awaits you at the bar next weekend

FANTASY LEAGUE - Men's and Ladies tables

In the Men’s table we see Toby snaffle enough points to edge ahead of Payton Snr (just). Hoping we’ll see a few more of the Men’s Youth make late bids for those top places.

In the more closely contested and interesting Ladies’ table, it is certainly getting tight at the top! With all the Ladies’ teams consistently getting in good results, this one is too close to call. Looking forward to the next few weeks!!

BHHHC DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Friday 8th February - QUIZ NIGHT - Quiz and Pizza night with Dr Macklin as your MC.
Its not just any old Quiz night - its the BHHHC quiz night! Doors open at 7pm. Quiz starts at 7:45. Teams of 5. £10 a team. Prizes for the winners and runners-up.
Please let us know if you are coming and which team you will be in. As a tip, it might be helpful to have a mixture of young and old in the team!
A Pizza run is being organised. Menu, prices and order details will be supplied next week.

Please note - the team size is five. That's five people. It's a tricky number to understand, particularly for the Men's 2s (their quiz team pictured below) who struggled with the concept of only 5 people in a team...
