Hi everyone, James here again. In this email I outline our 2019 committee structure, and include a quick bit of info regarding our first committee meeting of the year. See below for details, and please email me if you have any questions!

2019 Committee Structure

Following our first board meeting of 2019, we have organized three committees that will be working hard this season to keep everyone riding with SRCC safe and happy.

I have received a lot of feedback via email recently; thanks to those of you who have taken interest in improving our club. If you wish to take part in any of the upcoming committee meetings, please reply to this email mentioning which one you are interested in.

Weekly Ride Offerings Committee
The WROC (that acronym might not be a "thing" yet, but will be soon) will be determining the weekly rides offered by Speed River CC. Though our current structure has provided lots of fun over the years, there is always room for improvement! We want to ensure that what we offer can help individuals find their place in Guelph's cycling landscape, while still offering riders at all levels of fitness room to grow.

The first WROC meeting is this coming Tuesday, January 29th at 7:00pm. As mentioned, if you wish to take part, please reply to this email letting me know.

Policy Committee
As an Ontario Cycling Association affiliated club, SRCC needs to be up-to-date with all of our literature. Policy Committee will be reviewing all applicable club policies and ensure that they not only meet OCA standards, but also help guide us as a cycling club and group of people with a common interest.

Rider Satisfaction Committee
How does SRCC gain new members? How do we keep those members, as well as the ones that have been around for years, riding with smiles* on their faces? RSC will be exploring these ideas (and more) at their committee meetings.

*please note: some grimaces (ie. ones that occur while on the front, or climbing hills, etc) also count as smiles.

And that's it! Again, if you have interest in joining a committee (or sitting in on a meeting), please let me know by replying to this email. Any other club-related questions? You can always reach me at jfedosov@speedrivercyclingclub.org.
Ride safe,

James Fedosov
