Happy Lunar New Year and we welcome the Year of the Pig! The pig is the twelfth zodiac animal. According to a myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. Pig was late because he overslept so he was the last zodiac animal.

Sign up for Lakeshore Auction Gravy Train!
If you love to cook and want to support Lakeshore, please consider signing up for this auction item! We are looking for 5-7 FAMILIES to cook and deliver a meal to our lucky winners from the GRAVY TRAIN at the upcoming Spring Auction.
Volunteers will make/deliver a meal for a Family of 4 between March and August 2019 in SF only. Please contact Dara Dubosky if you have any questions.

- Get businesses to donate in 1, 2, 3: Check our list to see who's been contacted. Give our donation letter to your favorite business if they're not on the list. Tell the auction team about any donations arriving.
- Make your own donation like hosting a craft party, cooking class, group dinner, hiking trip, gifting handmade products, or babysitting.

Merced Library Feb. Events
DIY Kids – Sundays (2pm)
Come in for open maker lab where kids can build and craft. Experiment with beads, painting, folding origami, potting plants, and more! Children 3-8.
Children’s More Than a Month Film Fest – TODAY 2/6 (4pm)
We’ll be focusing on children’s African American interest as we celebrate More Than a Month at Merced Branch with a screening of actual 16 MM films from our collection. All ages welcome. Refreshments provided.
Puppy Dog Tales – Sat. 2/9 (11am)
Merced Branch and the SFSPCA present Puppy Dog Tales. Read in good company.
What is a Map? – Sat. 2/16 (2pm)
What is a map? Is it merely a piece of paper or wood or clay, or is it more than that? What is a Map? is a hands-on exploration of this question, leading to some surprising answers. All ages welcome; some attention span is necessary.
