Procedures for adverse weather conditions
Dear Parents/Carers
We would like to remind parents/carers of the procedures that TreeHouse has in place in the event of adverse weather.
The decision to close the pre-school is not taken lightly and a number of factors are taken into consideration. The safety of the children is our prime concern and reasons to close the pre-school may include: the condition of the school site, dangerous road conditions or a problem with services e.g. heating and water.
In the event of heavy snowfall always check that the pre-school is open before leaving home. We will make any decision to close as early as possible and this may even be the night before depending on weather forecasts. However a decision will be made by 8am at the latest. In the event of TreeHouse closing we will post the closure on the TreeHouse website http://www.treehousepre-school.co.uk/ and on the Friends of Treehouse pre-school Winslow Facebook page.
As the pre-school is situated on the site of Winslow C of E School, the school may advise us that the grounds are unsafe for the school to open. In these instances TreeHouse will follow the schools advice and also close. You may therefore also check the school website for closure information,
