Adult Forum, “Never Enough Time”

THIS Sunday, February 3 at 10:00 a.m.

Most of us struggle with “time famine”—the feeling of never having enough time. No matter our situation, most of us have the feeling there is always more required of us than can be accomplished in the time available. This adult forum is using the book Never Enough Time, by Rev. Donna Schaper to help us think through the practical and spiritual elements of our time famine and aim for a feast.

Check out the church calendar and print out your own copy to post at home. CALENDAR

Sunday, February 10 at noon

Please join Elim’s Leadership Team for a spaghetti lunch and a visitation-focused conversation, with the goal of organizing a visitation ministry to ensure that we are providing loving visitation, prayers, and communion for all those in our church community who need and desire this ministry.

A Thank You

To Elim friends,
On behalf of the Lynda Smith family and myself, I would like to thank Elim for all the prayers, support, sympathy cards and the prayer shawls! Lynda‘s celebration of life exceeded all of our expectations thanks to the talents of  Cathe Kiler, Laila Schoenlein, the Waves of Grace band, Worship Team and the joint choir of Elim Festival and Chorale participants. A special thank you to Pastor Patrick for his support at the hospital and easing us through this whole process and to Kimberly Richardson for her beautiful photo tribute and Barb Villa for doing a lovely bulletin for the service. Our hearts are warmed and our grief lessened by this tremendous community and the love we felt from so many!!
In grateful appreciation,
Kris Hermanson

Super Bowl Football Pool! by Ben Barnes

For The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Team in Training

Collecting until Saturday, February 2

I have been raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) for ten years, mostly by walking half marathons (13.1 miles). This year I've found a new challenge - a trek to the base camp of Mt. Everest in March!

In addition to my training, I am raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This month I am doing a Super Bowl Football Pool.  If you would like to purchase one or more squares for $20 each, please see me at church or give me a call at 707-480-2204.  Prizes are $200 after first quarter, $200 at half-time, $200 after third quarter, and $400 for the winning final score.

Thanks for your interest, prayers and support.
Ben Barnes
