Music Concert

Musical Flea Market covers a collection of many kinds of antique music.  Whether it's Delta blues or J. S. Bach, the music of Ireland or the music of Brazil, guitarist Ray Kamalay has built a remarkably diverse and historic repertoire that is familiar, intriguing, and fun.

Paint with a Pro
[Main Library l Tue, Feb. 5 & 26 @ 6 pm]


Paint with a Pro is a guided painting session that encourages new painters to learn painting techniques. 

There will be two classes offered in February. 
Both sessions will focus on the same content.

Please only register for one class. 

All supplies will be provided.  Ages 15 and up!

Registration for Tue, Feb. 5th will open on January 29th at 6 pm.
Registration for Tue, Feb. 26th will open on February 19th at 6 pm.

Historian and author Dr. Canter Brown, Jr. will speak on Lakeland's origins, presenting a full and inclusive picture of our early beginnings.  

Dr. Brown is the author of several books of local history, including the two volume history of Polk County, In the Midst of All That Makes Life Worth Living and None Could Have Richer Memories.

The Library's D.I.Y. Digitize is on the move!  It will be at the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library February 18th - 22nd to help preserve your family photographs, negatives and slides by turning them into easy to share and store digital formats. Bring up to 12 personal photographs to the library and we’ll scan them for free. 
A flash drive, blank CD or blank DVD is required.
