Thanks to our amazing donors, Uru Academy re-opened in September 2018 on our brand new property!
- All five classes moved into our beautiful new classes. Two rooms in our office were used along with our brand new container classrooms. All are equipped with solar electricity.
- Uru Academy is now provided free education to 75 students ranging in age from 6 months - 10 years old.
- We are now more than ever committed to giving these amazing children the education they so deserve.
- Over the last few weeks our teachers have been doing training weeks at the International school nearby giving them access to even more techniques and ideas to make Uru Academy the best it can be.
In the next year we hope to open three more classrooms and help as many students in need as possible. Each classroom costs approximately $13,000 USD to build. Please consider contributing to our next group of classrooms. You will forever be changing the lives of these children and the village of Uru.
