YES FAMILY GIVING & FUNDRAISING UPDATE
  • We need to raise $1,100,000 to fulfill our 2018/19 budget

Our Family Giving participation is slightly up around 48% compared to last year. We are gearing up for Spring All IN for YES Participation Campaign and phone-a-thon. Stay tuned and avoid the call by donating now!

SPECIAL: STUDENT DESIGN OPPORTUNITY

Calling all K-8 grade student “Imaginers”: San Anselmo needs your IDEAS to Reimagine Creekside Commons (Creek Park) by March 29

The YES Foundation, in collaboration with The Ross Valley School District (RVSD) and with support from the San Anselmo Arts Commission, is launching a design project in parallel with the Town’s professional design contest to reimagine the space as one that better connects to the downtown and responds to the needs of our communities.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to reimagine the space as a result of the Marin County Flood Mitigation Plan.

Student participants will be recognized and ideas will be shared with the professionals who the Town is inviting to participate in the professional contest (managed by the Town Staff with advisory assistance by the Creek Park Community Advisory Committee). Rules and guidelines here.

Do you have the luck of the Irish? Join us to decorate St. Paddy's Day cookies. This is a guardian and child event, one adult per child please. Thursday, March 14 from 6-8:00 PM in the Wade Thomas Multi Purpose Room. $30 per pair. Buy tickets here.
BATTLE OF THE BANDS 

Sing and dance the night away in an amazing location with great local bands featuring parents from RVSD schools! Special guest appearances by YES Music Teachers! Proceeds benefit YES.

STEAM in Action at Iron Springs
(Science Technology Engineering Art Math)
Join us at Iron Springs every Tuesday evening in March to put your STEAM skills to use.  This month we will be featuring the "A" in STEAM for ART and  have fun tabletop origami projects for you to enjoy. Don't forget, Iron Springs gives 10% back to YES on Tuesday's in March!

Also, check out some of the work the kids at White Hill are producing in their Digital Arts class...pretty cool!

  • Volunteer at Battle of the Bands - We'll cover your ticket cost if you help us run the event (sell t-shirts, work the food stand, check people in at the door, etc)
  • Help phone bank- It is almost time to start calling families who have not yet donated to YES this year for a friendly reminder. Do you have a few hours to help?
  • Provide content-Do you like to take pics of your Ross Valley School District students participating in YES activities? YES is always looking for awesome pics of students participating in music, art, poetry, drama,  & STEAM in the classroom, etc!
