The library will be closed from Sunday, February 17th through Sunday, February 24th for an interior painting project.
 

We realize that this is challenging, as the library is one of the only spaces that is open in the community, and many of you rely on it for internet, resources, books, programming, and more. Additionally, this is school vacation week, and we know that will cause extra hardship to families looking for places to go with their children.  We know how important our Library is to our community and are committed to completing this project as quickly as possible.
 

We had hoped to do this during a different time, but it is necessary to complete this project now. It is long overdue, and there are large paint chips that are falling from the ceiling ducts onto the floor, among other problems. Safety is of great importance to our visitors and we can’t delay this project.  It’s a very technical project and is the time available with the company with whom we contract.
 

You will not incur overdue fines during this period. Also, if you have items on hold, you will not lose your place in the queue.
 

We have contacted the Truro and Eastham Libraries, and they are looking forward to welcoming you, should you need any sort of library services during that week. Their hours are as follows:
