NCFR Journals' Influence on Policy

Family Policy
Wiley's 'I Believe in Family Science' Campaign with NCFR Showcases Academic Impact on Public Policy

Attendees at the 2018 NCFR Annual Conference in San Diego had the opportunity to participate in an innovative family policy campaign at the exhibit booth of Wiley, publisher of NCFR's three scholarly journals. Participants were invited to take a postcard and write to their Congressional representative about using Family Science research when making family policy decisions.

Once all the postcards were taken, a large infographic was revealed that showed the impact research in NCFR's journals has had on policy around the world (see image above).

“Wiley’s interactive exhibit that showcased NCFR’s impact on policy decisions around the world ... aligned perfectly with NCFR’s mission and was a bright addition to our exhibit area,” said Diane Cushman, NCFR's executive director.
