Thank you to all who have pledged and given so far!
Will you help us get to 100% by March 31st?

We ended 2018 (literally down to the hour) by finishing our campaign to reach 75% of our monthly partnership. Through many churches and individuals/families, we exceeded that goal, and are now approaching almost 86% a few short weeks later! We estimate that we need about 21 more individuals, churches, and/or businesses at an averageof $50/month to help us reach 100% of our monthly partnership goal! We also have a few items left that we have to have raised up front in what is categorized as ‘launch funds.’ These funds, which are broken up below, need to be raised by March 31st. Raising our funds by this date would clear us for our planned May 8th departure, just in time to move into our apartment that will have just become available to us.

MONTHLY COMMITMENT UPDATE:
Fact: Monthly commitments keep us in Thailand! We can't leave for the field until we have 100% in pledge forms filled out.
PRAISE GOD!
We made it to 85%
in verbal and actual monthly commitments! Thank you for all who pledged monthly
partnership during our end of year campaign! We exceeded the 75% right down to the wire, and in a few short weeks we raised an additional 10%! We are truly on the home stretch now!
We need about 21 more churches, businesses, and/or individuals to commit to $50/mo to be 100% funded!
If you made a verbal commitment and haven't filled out the form yet, or if you would like to make a commitment, we would be so appreciative if you would fill this form out to make it official!

Bangkok Ranks #9 . . .
for Worst Air Pollution
Something we will need continued prayer for as we work and minister in the busy, packed, and heavily polluted city of Bangkok is for great health, especially for Rachel who only has one lung! We went ahead and bought special masks that have filters, which specifically are designed to work in heavily polluted areas. Living in Bangkok, we won't be able to open our windows hardly ever (not that we would want to with the intense, humid heat!)
Last week to governor closed 437 schools due to the air pollution crisis! Pray that this gets under control and that sustainable solutions would be agreed upon and immediately implemented!

Maintaining 'Normalcy'
We have spent most of this winter enjoying a bunch of lasts, which are so joyful and incredibly sad at the same time. We got to celebrate our first Thanksgiving in five years with all of our family on both sides. Event though it was our last one for several years, It was wonderful to connect with everyone, though it was too brief. We also celebrated our last Christmas state-side for several years, and it was a truly the greatest thing to watch the girls open the gifts. There’s really nothing like it; how blessed we are! We have since packed up only our most precious Christmas items and have set them aside in a container to be opened next in Thailand!
As we are away from home most weekends and much of the week, this could easily take it’s toll on not just us, but our precious girls as well. Through the wise advice of people who have gone before us, we have made it a point to maintain some normalcy in our day-to-day and week-to-week. One of those ways Lena and Jori get to do this is by taking ballet and gymnastics classes each week! We also make it a point to have a special breakfast together each week, which is something we can carry over to Thailand when we create our routine.
