EU member states vote on Commission's proposal to invest almost €800 million coming from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), the European support programme for trans-European infrastructure

EU financial aid concerns studies and works for a total of 14 projects. €504 million is allocated to electricity and smart grids, €9.3 million will fund studies on the development of a CO2 transport infrastructure, and €286 to the gas sector.
