Congregations can use the Congregational Vitality Survey for only the cost of shipping.

This discounted offer ends December 31, 2019, when regular pricing will go into effect.

The US Congregational Vitality Survey (USCVS) is a new discernment tool for congregations, designed to help uncover the ways in which the Holy Spirit is moving through your congregation. It is the third wave congregational survey that builds upon the strengths of the previous two US Congregational Life Surveys (USCLS) surveys. This Survey is still in a pilot phase.

The USCVS consists of two surveys;
  • one is designed for worshipers and
  • the other is designed for the leadership and staff of the congregation.
The purpose of the Revitalization Initiative is to work alongside leaders of existing congregations continually assessing, discerning and living into faithful actions that increase vitality through intentional spiritual practices that take them deeper into following Jesus Christ, so that their own lives are changed, congregations are transformed and the mission of God spreads throughout particular communities and the world.

Currently, the office Congregational Vitality is offering this survey free of charge to interested churches. The survey can be administered by paper and/or online.  We will provide you a link to share with your congregation for the online surveys.

 The report you receive will give you your scores regarding where your congregation falls on each of the seven marks of vitality, along with details in to how you fare on each mark.

Healthy Pastors, Healthy Congregations

The Board of Pensions recognizes that, as a Church, we must faithfully address pastors’ financial challenges if they are to grown and sustain their ministries. That’s why the BOP offers Healthy Pastors, Healthy Congregations to all eligible ministers serving in congregational settings. This innovative financial education program combines pastor and congregational leader education with grants of up to $10,000 to qualifying pastors.

Healthy Pastors, Healthy Congregations brings a pastor and congregational leadership together to work toward financial sustainability by providing financial education and consultations to both the pastor and congregational leaders.
...
Qualifying pastors who complete the program receive grants of up to $10,000. The grant may be used to reduce or eliminate the pastor’s educational, credit card, or other debt, or to boost personal savings in the Retirement Savings Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), a 403(b)(9) plan.
