Indoor Learn to Row – Two (2) Sessions / Week
Starts Monday, February 11
For individuals who have no indoor nor on-water rowing experience. Activities will focus on learning rowing technique, injury prevention, and relevant strength and conditioning movements.
Junior (ages 11-17) and Adult (ages 18+) indoor learn to row programs are being offered separately, but on the same days and times, for families who wish to try something new together.
Sessions run Mondays and Thursdays 5:45-7:15PM, February 11 – March 28, 2019 (6 weeks, excluding March 18-24).
Program Fee: $87.
Annual Membership fees for Rowing Canada ($20) and Row Nova Scotia ($15) will be added to the fee for the first program joined each membership year (April 1-March 31).
Learn to Swim / Stroke Improvement - One (1) or Two (2) Sessions / Week
Starts Wednesday, February 13
For individuals who would like to develop basic swimming skills, increase their comfort in deep water, improve the efficiency of their swimming, or learn how to use swimming as cross-training for other sports. Participants will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure appropriate supervision and safety, and degree of challenge.
Junior (ages 11-17) and Adult (ages 18+) swimming programs are being offered separately, but on the same days and times, for families who wish to try something new or train together.
Swimming programs are open to all – there is no requirement to have rowing experience or be intending to row in order to participate in these programs.
Sessions run Wednesdays 7:30-8:30PM and Saturdays 5:00-6:00PM, February 13 – March 30, 2019 (6 weeks, excl. March 18-24). You can choose to swim on just Wednesdays, just Saturdays, or both!
Program Fee: $48 for swimming once / week, $87 for swimming twice / week

Mic Mac AAC Rowing has partnered with the Cole Harbour Hurricanes Swim Club to offer swimming programs for the winter. Swimming programs will be coached by NCCP trained / certified coaches at Cole Harbour Place in Dartmouth, a pool with NSLS-certified lifeguards present.
Junior Recreational Rowing – Two (2) Sessions / Week
Starts Wednesday, January 2
For youth aged 11-17 who have completed a Junior Learn to Row program through Junior Summer Rowing Camps or After-School programs, or equivalent from another rowing club.
Activities will focus on improving rowing technique, injury prevention, learning to use rowing as a fitness training method, age-appropriate strength and conditioning movements, and FUN!
Sessions run on Wednesdays and Fridays 4:00-5:30PM, February 13 – March 29, 2019 (excl. March 18-24)
Program Fee: $96 for each 6-week block
Annual Membership fees for Rowing Canada ($20) and Row Nova Scotia ($15) will be added to the fee for the first program joined each membership year (April 1-March 31).
Adult Indoor Winter Training – One (1) to Five (5) Sessions / Week
Starts Monday, February 11
For adults aged 18+ who have completed at least one season of indoor rowing winter training, or an Indoor Learn to Row program.
Running from Monday, February 11 - Sunday, March 31, 2019 (7 weeks)
Program Fees for participants starting on Monday, February 11, 2019:
1 session / week for 7 weeks = $55
2 sessions / week for 7 weeks = $100
3 sessions / week for 7 weeks = $135
11 sessions are offered on various days and times throughout the week. Click HERE for details. Participants subscribe to their preferred number of sessions per week for the 7-week period based on their training goals.
An email is circulated weekly advising participants that the schedule for the next two weeks is open for booking. Participants sign up online in advance for the sessions that work with their schedule those weeks. Each individuals schedule may change from week to week.

Congratulations to the 48 members of our current indoor rowing programs who competed in the Concept2 Virtual Team Challenge January 1-31, 2019.
They collectively rowed over 2.2 milliion meters in the month of January, resulting in the team placing 94th overall out of 691 teams. Way to go team!
On Saturday, February 2, 2019, Mic Mac AAC Rowing had 11 athletes competing at the Atlantic Indoor Rowing Championships in Dartmouth, NS. The team was really pleased with their performances and we even won three event - Grace He for Novice Women, Grace Gillis for Masters Women 30-39, and Alex Raiche-Marsden for Senior Lightweight Men. We also had Cody Bailey competing at Monster Erg in Victoria, BC, where he ran into Mic Mac AAC Alum Todd Hallett just before winning the Senior Men's Category!
