What would happen if you mashed together Pinterest, Scrivener, and Pocket?

Are.na is a fascinating visual organization tool that works a lot like Pinterest, but allows more flexibility in terms of the content you can add. In addition to adding links or images, you can also upload files—making it a novel way to organize research on a project. It includes collaborative features and the ability to make your collections public or private. No ads, no interruptions. Accounts are free to start.
