Dear Friend,

"You are the light of the world..., let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so everyone will praise your Father in Heaven." Matt 5:14,16 NLT

Let Others See Jesus in You

Something that has always stuck with DeAnna from childhood is that we are always being watched for how we live our lives.  Does her daily life, interactions, things that she thinks are done in private all reflect her relationship with Jesus?  There was a hymn we would sing titled Let Others See Jesus in You.  That always stuck with DeAnna.  David helps YouVersion Bible App users with technical support, however, he also receives questions about the Bible, questions about living a life reflecting Jesus and testimonies from users.
This was a testimony shared with him recently sharing how others were able to see Jesus in her.

I usually read my YouVersion Bible reading plan on the bus on my way to work.  I never knew there was someone who was extremely curious about what I was reading, so she usually peeked over my shoulder to read my plans. At the time she was having issues with her husband and I was trying to re-build my relationship with my husband.  My plan focused on forgiveness.  She came under conviction and forgave her husband and had peace in her home.  I had never met this lady before, she just walked up to me at the market, introduced herself as someone who usually boarded the same bus as I did and told me her story.  I was moved to tears because God used the plans on YouVersion to bless a home and I was humbled because the choice I made to read in the bus blessed someone else and not just myself.  Thank you to the team that makes the YouVersion App possible.

LC Corner

One of the Launch Coordinators on DeAnna’s team retired at the end of 2018.  He will be returning in March as a volunteer, however, with a lighter schedule.  DeAnna has been taking care of his members, along with her members.  It’s been challenging to keep up with the 88 people spread across 18 different countries.

Although it has been challenging, DeAnna thoroughly enjoys walking with new members in their journey with Wycliffe.  She enjoys building relationships with the new members, helping them navigate all the necessary training and preparations to serve overseas and staying in touch with them while they are in the countries serving God helping end Bible poverty.  It’s such a privilege and it wouldn’t be possible without your partnership with us.  Thank you for faithfully partnering with us!

Special Prayer Request
Please pray for DeAnna.  While in Cameroon David and DeAnna battled boils, which were common there, especially with the constant warm, humid environment.  DeAnna has been battling a chronic boil for about five years now.  She saw a specialist in 2016 and thought she was healed from it, however, it’s back and now a more invasive surgery is necessary.  Please pray that she won’t need to delay the surgery, for the surgery on February 26th, for the surgeon, for this surgery to be the final one needed and for a speedy recovery.
