LASA Robotics Team Advances to Regionals
Since the kickoff of FIRST Tech Challenge’s (FTC) Rover Ruckus competition in September, the 15 members of LASA Robotics’ FTC team have designed, built, and programmed a robot that carries out various tasks in a simulated planetary landing.  After 3 monthly meets in which the team operated the robot in head-to-head matches, adjustments and improvements were made prior to competing in the Austin Metro League Championship last weekend.  The team won the Innovate award and placed 2nd in Design, impressing the judges with their unique vacuum tube approach to collecting and transferring planetary minerals.  The team will now advance to the Alamo Regional Championship in March. Congratulations to LASA FTC team 4290 for all their hard work!
