What happened at BARC recently?

Dear friends of BARC everywhere

Yes... soon on 14th of February we celebrate Valentines Day ... share and spread the love with our furry friends , you can make it happen by supporting us in our activities , buying our merchandise which goes to food and care and donating to our causes.
Book our day trips to our Sanctuary at a minimum donation of $ 50 per person , this will put food in our furry friends tummies plus a big smile too.
You can also make it happen by supporting our Community Programs , as the new 2019 BARC initiatives are Educate , Adopt and Sterilize . As a legal registered organisation in both Australia and Bali , Indonesia ( where we operate ) BARC is focusing on the local government call to to action in controlling the population by neutering, in responsible pet ownership , in vaccinating our furry friends . Our next Village day in February 19th 2019 in Madangan Kelod, Gianyar , Bali . The plan is together with local government to neuter 30 dogs/cats ( supported by our donaters ) and vaccinated legally by local government animal welfare department.

There is also a " Call to Action "
for responsible tourists / tourism . As most if not all the animal welfare charity' s in Bali are overflowing , we all do our best with what we have in donations , please do not overburden an already a charity which is in over capacity mode . We cant take every single dog you bring to us . For a single puppy to be ready for adoption would cost us $145 ( food , boarding , vaccines , neuter , medications ) and this is the puppy is not in need of operations and other serious medical attention.
It is heartbreaking .We need your compassion not your anger , when we say sorry we are full please.

HI BELLA!
Our little Miss Bella seems so happy munching her food in our new HQ office in Ubud.
As earlier informed in our posts , that we were going to move . Now we have. Our place is cozy with beautiful peaceful surroundings where we can enjoy serenity at Serenity House .
Our merchandise shop stocks some of our official items such as T Shirt, Bandana the Bali Bandana Project , Bamboo straws, Bamboo jars, Tote bag, etc. Drop in, take your time to play with some of our puppies and drop the much needed donations.
As an added bonus, we have room for Backpackers/Volunteers who wold like to stay with us (for this information you can email us @yayasan.barc@gmail.com).

So, if you are in Ubud and you are wondering where to find us, you can just go directly to Jalan Sandat No.24 and on the right there is a red sign as shown. Then you can just go to the right and continue until you find the sign "Serenity House". You can just open the door and don't hesitate even if the door is closed. The door is closed because there are some puppies playing inside

Remember our previous fundraising to get clean and fresh water for our furry pals in our Sanctuary? Here is the update now. We manage to make one and we are almost there to get fresh and clean water.
But we are still long way from our target to get the fund. So please help us to make this dream comes true.

VILLAGE DAY/MELALI KE DESA

So last 29th of January, we had this program 'Village Day" where BARC gave free sterelization, education, and adoption of puppies in one of Villages in Gianyar, it was Banjar Madangan Kaja.
There were 30 animals that had been sterilized, 9 female dogs, 16 male dogs and 3 male cats and 2 female cats.
We also thanked to the Gianyar Regency Agricultural Service for giving free vaccinations to residents' dogs.

We were very pleased with the positive community response and were also aware of the importance of sterilization for their pets. This activity would not be as successful as this without the help of the local Banjar and also the participation of the community.
And yes of course, we thanked also to The Bali Bandana Project
who had sponsored this 'Village Day' event..

BARC currently has more than 250 furry palls that need food, protection, care and love from our team. Therefore, BARC is currently concentrating on rehabilitation and caring for own furry palls which are impossible to adopt due to trauma and old age. However, BARC continues to struggle to help reduce the Bali dog population by going down to the community with the free Bali Sterilization program. We are also trying to find OTA for our furry palls that are ready to be adopted including the puppies which we have saved.

In this new year, BARC began to be even more active in driving the routine of programs involving the local community as well as outside guests. And that is why also in this month, we are going to have another "Village Day" to do the free sterilization in another Village in Gianyar.
