INN NEWS & NOTES

TOMORROW: NONPROFIT NEWS TOWN HALL

An estimated 2,000 journalists have lost their jobs since the beginning of the year in the media industry. But there is a bright and growing light in news: nonprofit news. INN will be hosting a special town hall meeting tomorrow for community leaders and journalists who want to learn about possibilities in nonprofit news to restore or launch newsrooms where commercial coverage has been lost. Come see what the possibilities are and bring your questions. And read more in this message from INN's CEO and Executive Director Sue Cross.

NEXT WEEK: MAJOR GIFTS COHORT INFO SESSION

INN recommends that nonprofit news organizations start planning major gift programs as soon as they launch — or at any point in their lifecycle. For that reason, INN is offering an opportunity for members to work with a Major Gifts coach to launch or grow a Major Gifts Program. Attend a free info session next Thursday to learn more about this year's program. The 2018 cohort reported raising more than $400,000 in major gifts as a result of the program.
