Power Supply
“ but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

The Holy Spirit dwelling within gives us the power to choose life. We bear witness to the beauty of the Kingdom of God when we steward our decisions well. Making choices that reflect the Spirit of God within us is a powerful thing. The most powerful thing we can accomplish on this Earth.

Although the Holy Spirit grants us the power to bear witness, He leaves the choice to us. Will we use the power? Will we take the opportunity?

Every day the Spirit of God is calling out to us. Not just from without, but also from within. The Spirit is an inexhaustible source of goodness to our souls. It is longing to be used, to be expressed, to be shared.

Also we have within us a source of destructive power. There is only one “plug.” And when we plug our souls into the flesh, we are not plugged in to the Spirit. The Spirit’s power supply is waiting for us to “plug in” to. But the power only flows when the circuit is connected.

Neither the flesh nor the Spirit makes the choice for us. It is up to us, The Chooser, to decide. Will we tap into the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and bear witness to the Kingdom of God? Or will we squander the power within us by disconnecting from its source? Will we live superficial and complacent lives devoid of true or live as faith superheroes, following our Savior in obedience, with love and service to others?

The Spirit beckons. Today is a good day to tap in to its infinite power.
