As a professional athlete, Brayden's skills aren't limited to the field. He has excelled at coaching, training, and motivating athletes. He has a natural gift in developing youth on all levels. Brayden has been a huge asset to our programs and we have seen our numbers grow with his involvement. We look forward to his continued success with the Toronto Blue Jays and his future participation with the Game Ready Family.

Athlete of the Month

Taran has been a part of the Game ready Family for many years. It is fair to say he has grown up with the coaches and other athletes.

He has had a great impact on the 7 on 7 Elite team and has carried that over to his performance with his high school team the New Westminster Hyacks. He was one of 4 players from BC that were at the National Combine in San Antonio Texas this January. It is clear that Taran has many positive results to this point and no doubt there are many more to come. Keep yup the work on and off the field Taran #hardworkpaysoff

SPRING BREAK CAMPS
@ Fitness 2000

Speed & Sports Movement 7-12 years

Do you want to be fast? Speed kills. This program builds the foundational pieces for speed by focusing on running form, foot speed, stride length and how we transition into sports. Moving laterally, backwards and improving change of direction will also be emphasized. Each day we will provide treats and prizes.

Speed & Power 13-18 years

A program for serious and committed athletes. Each session will include speed, agility & power.

The workouts are intense and will prepare each athlete for the demands of their sport. Sessions will include sport specific movements and competitions.

Game Ready and the Washington Kids Foundation is a partnership built on the fundamental belief that all youth deserve the opportunity to be successful in life, despite their circumstances. We understand that youth learn and engage in different ways. Our program emphasizes positive leadership from coaches who will challenge the youth to work hard through workouts and then review the principals and concepts they have learned while pushing themselves. Our focus is on youth development therefore emphasizing skills and habits to be utilized for the rest of their life.

Eastview Elementary School: Grade 6 Completion

The North Vancouver Centre has completed session one (8 weeks) of the day time program with NS elementary schools. Session two began this week with a new group of youth and our coaches look forward to introducing them to different physical activities and spending time in the classroom embracing our youth development workbook.

We currently introduced yoga one day a week for the after school program, a few were skeptical at the beginning but participation has increased each session making it a huge hit! Great for the body and soul!

Spring break will be upon us shortly and registration has begun. The North Vancouver centre has a fulfilled two weeks planned for those signed up.

Coach Dino’s Recruiting Academy serves to help student-athletes, parents, teachers and counsellors navigate through the increasingly competitive and confusing world of university athletic recruiting. Appreciating the process and the opportunity are key in achieving the best university fit. “There are lots of options, which one is right for you.” As a student-athlete goes through the recruiting process they will develop so many characteristics that will serve to be useful in all areas of their life for the rest of their lives.
