2019 promises to be a banner year for UnderMain! Our goal to produce insightful writing about local and regional art and artists just got a huge boost. UnderMain has been awarded a grant by the Great Meadows Foundation to produce a year-long series of in-depth essay profiles of the works of twelve Kentucky artists. The grant also sustains our reviews of exhibitions.

As a companion to the written work and supported by Great Meadows, UnderMain will present in March Critical Mass III at The Carnegie in Covington, Kentucky, the latest in our series of conversations about contemporary art, artists, and art writing. Watch for more upcoming details about the date for this event and the participants in, what promises to be, a lively conversation! You can watch the video of Critical Mass II which took place this past March.

Other news: UnderMain has partnered with WEKU's Eastern Standard current affairs program to bring arts and cultural coverage to the region.

And don't forget that UnderMain is a 501 (c)(3). You can contribute to our efforts to keep you informed about arts and culture in Lexington and the region. Donation links on every page at under-main.com. It's 2019. Buckle up.
