 Connect with fellow B Corp employees working in similar roles, functions, and departments through our ABC: Always B Collaborating event series.
ABC meetups provide a venue to discuss opportunities, challenges, and best practices as well as collaborate on collective initiatives. These groups are open to employees of current Certified B Corps, organized by members of our community, and supported by B Local PDX.

After Party: 5-8pm at Shine Distillery & Grill
Join colleagues from our B Corp community for the first-ever B Local PDX Day of Service. This day is designed to provide a meaningful volunteer experience to kickstart our connections with causes that help people feel more empowered to serve our community. This is a great opportunity for you to be part of a single day that will have a positive ripple effect throughout our city. Multiple volunteer shifts are available at different nonprofit locations. See a full list of opportunities here.
After we volunteer, and with help from our amazing sponsors, we'll also have a volunteer celebration at the end of the day for people to share and reflect on the impact and meaning of their service. During this celebration, we will also share the stats on our collective impact for the day and engage in further learning with our nonprofit partners. The after party will be 5-8pm at Shine Distillery & Grill - 4232 N Williams Ave - at Skidmore (map). Registration for the after party is included in your volunteering registration.
Please note the deadline to sign up for the B Corp Day of Service is a week from today, Monday, February 18, 2019, so that we can give our partner organizations sufficient notice to prepare for our groups of volunteers.

 Did you know that Oregon has the most B Corp wineries in the world? On February 28 from 6-9pm those wineries will join forces for an evening of food, drink and fun at the Redd on Salmon Street.
B Corp employees can get on this exclusive event! Your $20 ticket includes one glass of wine or 5 tasting tickets so that you can choose from both our wines and the incredible wines from Sokol Blosser, Chehalem, Patton Valley, Rex Hill, and Winderlea. Your ticket also includes appetizers from B Corp friends Elephants Delicatessen. Additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase.

Opportunity Deadlines This Week!
Apply for a $10,000 Inspiring Diversity Grant - *DEADLINE EXTENDED* Now due February 15
Get $$$ to launch a diversity program at your small business! Prosper Portland is offering grant funding for small business owners for equity-related projects. This is an amazing opportunity to develop new partnerships, policies, training programs and other projects dedicated to increasing economic prosperity for all Portlanders. Grants of up to $10,000 per company are available for businesses in identified priority industry clusters. Learn more at Prosper Portland.
Oregon Applied Sustainability Internship - due February 15
The Oregon Applied Sustainability Experience (OASE) wants you to host a free, full-time, ten week intern to conduct onsite research at your business. Interns are placed at host businesses to analyze and research the company’s waste streams and to recommend process improvements that will lower operating costs while reducing negative environmental impacts. This non-regulatory and voluntary program is administered by the Oregon Sea Grant and Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, through a grant from EPA. Applications are due February 15, so apply now through the DEQ.
Sign Up to Volunteer Judge Local Student Business Projects
Oregon DECA is looking for volunteers to evaluate/judge students projects and presentations online and in-person for their upcoming State Career Development Conference. In-person opportunities are available on at the event on Monday, February 25 from 8am-4pm, or Tuesday, February 26 from 8am-1pm. Judging is simple and rewarding.
