From Aging to Saging
Workshop with Daniel Yalowitz

This Sunday, Feb 17, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM: For all TI and community members interested in learning about C.G. Jung's concept of archetypes, we will explore those particular archetypes we are likely to encounter during the second half of our lives and focus on their impact and influence on our life's journey. The program is based on Daniel's new book, Journeying with Your Archetypes: The Search for Deeper Meaning in Daily Life. It is open to all and presupposes no prior knowledge of Jung or psychology. Books will available for purchase and signing following the program.

About the Facilitator: Daniel Cantor Yalowitz, Ed.D., is a doctorally-trained developmental and cross-cultural psychologist. A TI member, he has traveled to 88 countries and 6 continents and has facilitated a range of diverse programs focusing on play and community building, conflict transformation, intercultural communication, the MBTI (c), diversity, and inclusion. Former Dean and Vice Provost at SIT Graduate Institute, Daniel now serves as a consultant and trainer, and is on the faculty of the Intercultural Communications Institute and Connecting Differences.

March 3, 3 PM: Mak'hela performs Sacred & Secular Music of Salamone Rossi @ JCA

Mak'hela, the Jewish Chorus of Western MA, in collaboration with the Five College Early Music Collegium, presents a concert that will transport you to a time long ago! Salamone Rossi (ca. 1570–1630) was an Italian Jewish composer during the late Renaissance/early Baroque. He revitalized ancient Jewish prayers with contemporary compositions, and in addition wrote many secular works. Rossi’s liturgical music is an intoxicating blend of traditional Hebrew prayer and quintessential Renaissance sounds. We will bring you a selection of his choral works, joined by instruments that would have originally accompanied them.
