Last chance for Congregational Assessment Tool Survey
Many thanks to all who have filled out the Congregation Assessment Tool, the online survey. This survey helps us to tell the story of St Thomas of Canterbury as we begin our rector search. We now have over 50% participation!
If you have not completed the survey, please do no later than Wednesday, February 20th. Any questions, please contact Bob Moriarty 646.828.9170 or bob.moriarty@gmail.com
Dinner with the Bishop
On Friday night, Feb. 8th, the Vestry, Search Committee, and a few spouses met at Canterbury for dinner and discussion with the Bishop. Many thanks to Eileen Lambert for organizing the dinner! The Bishop explained the Search Process as it will now be conducted in the Diocese of the Rio Grande giving us some important pointers with much encouragement. The work is Canterbury's to do but the Diocese is available to assist us if needed.
To begin the process we must first identify who we are and where we want to go. Step One is already under way in the form of the Survey - Step Two will be a meeting of the entire Congregation to gather more specific information. Please watch the weekly Canterbury Communications and listen for announcements made at each of our services for details as these events are scheduled. We'll need input from everyone to be the most successful so please join in.
For the moment please pray for the Search Committee and the Vestry as we undertake this new and exciting challenge!
Pat Eads, for the Search Committee
