I found some great materials recently, so I figured we would have a newsletter sooner than later. Here are some things I hope you can use!

Police magazine has some awesome White Papers for free. Policing, investigations and legal issues are all featured. Use them for students to read in class or keep up on industry issues. Click Here to review.

Accident Sketch is a free program online that allows you to do basic traffic crash diagrams. I have not played with it much, but it appears to be a free way to teach basic sketching. Try it out Click Here

Safe Kids is a really cool group that seeks to reduce injuries in kids birth through 19 years old. They have great ideas for projects you could implement through your students. Some states have Safe Kids programs that have grants for your program! Click Here to take a look at the national site.

NEW COURSE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

A number of states that partner with LAPSEN have decided to develop a new course: An Introduction to Public Safety Careers, targeted at the 8^th-10^th grades.
