 2019 Offshore acreage release - have your say

Consultation on areas nominated for the 2019 Offshore Petroleum Acreage Release is open now.    

The consultation process is an opportunity for you to comment and provide feedback on potential areas for release and highlight how exploration activities in these areas may impact you. Submissions will be considered by government when determining which areas are made for available for bidding as part of the 2019 acreage release.

Comments can be made on Consultation Hub until 11.59pm Sunday 31 March 2019.
 

GHG acreage release - indications of interest

The department is assessing industry interest in a possible offshore greenhouse gas (GHG) storage acreage release. GHG acreage releases are help on an occasional basis, when there is sufficient industry demand.

If you would like the department to consider a future GHG acreage release please provide your contact details and the general location of the area that you are interested in exploring to ghgacreage@industry.gov.au by Thursday 28 February 2019.
