Honing skills in Worker Care.
Our heart is to see the nations hear of Jesus. One part of our passion is helping fellow workers when they are discouraged, overwhelmed, suffering, or facing difficult barriers and challenges. For many years, the Lord has used us to help others with such obstacles, with encouragement, and renewed vision to see the Lord's work continue.
This week we are attending the Midwest Conference on Missionary Care in Minneapolis. We will meet with others in this domain, and sharpen our skills to be more effective as we serve in the years ahead. This week we will also attend a conference on risk mitigation, dealing with such issues as war, bombings, assault, kidnapping, deaths, etc. Such topics are hard, but our world is not always a friendly place.
Please pray for us as we are in sessions on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We seek to learn and be effective as we serve in years ahead.
Pray for our organization, All Nations, and the other organizations who will be represented. As believers, we know that Jesus overcomes. Yet we also understand that we face opposition, sinful people, and dark spiritual forces which oppose the good news of Jesus and intend to halt the progress of reaching the nations for Jesus. This will be a battleground week.
Pray for our travel to Minneapolis tomorrow and our return on Saturday? Pray for health, for wisdom, and for the Holy Spirit to make our learning very effective. Thank you!
Pray - Debbie's leg pain continues.The Physical Therapist is working to understand where the pain is caused, but this is a process and the source is not yet identified.
Pray - Brett's work is at the cusp of launching. Development is done, and investor meetings are this week.
