This Sunday we will be reflecting on Matthew 10, A long quotation of Jesus sending out the 12 disciples to their own ministries.
He tells them of the risks that they will face in this ministry,
and the courage and trust they will need in this work of following Christ
What are we risking to follow God? Are we choosing to walk an easier path rather than follow the one that God has called us to?
I invite you to take approx. 8 minutes to watch the video confession above poetically written by author Ann Voskamp.
It is a prayer of repentance and confession to God for the state of our world, but also a call toward's a practice of resurrection.

"Sub"-stantial Sale
A genuine thank-you to the entire congregation. Thank you for taking orders, buying the ingredients, (shout out to Anastasia Anderson in her umpteenth year of doing this!) assembling sandwiches, baking cookies (shout out to Lisa Ridenour for baking 200 football shaped cookies again!), making cash donations, working the sale and to everyone who bought subs! We are going to clear about $1200. Like Anastasia and Lisa, many of you no longer have youth in the church, yet you still support them year after year. We are grateful to you all.
