It’s February.

January was a long year, but we made it through. Phew!

Actually, January was kind of exciting for me because my latest art video got millions views. Did you have a chance to see it?

I will have two paintings this month at the Settler's West Gallery's annual American Miniatures show. The show opens this Saturday, Feburary 9th in Tucson, Arizona.

I wanted to create a piece where the focus of the painting was the face and the abstraction started right at the hairline and the shoulders. "Focus" (above) measures 12"x9". I really like this painting so, it probably won’t sell. As soon as I really like a piece it’s cursed 😆

The other miniature piece I created for this show is "Resolute" (15"x7.75").
Both of these paintings will be offered for sale by draw. Anyone that wants to purchase a painting can put their names in the drawing, you don't have to be there to buy one.

If you're interested in purchasing either of these two pieces, you can add your name to the drawing, too. All you have to do is call or email the gallery by 5pm on Friday, February 8th to add your name.

Sears Dixie Invitational Art Show

This annual show is one that I have been participating in for many years. It's always a great show with a lot of beautiful artwork. It is hosted at Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. This painting, "She Walks Her Own Path" will be available there.

Insight Gallery

About a two years ago, I sent an email to a very prestigious gallery in Texas to see if they'd like to represent me. This is a well-known gallery that I had hoped I could get into for quite a while. They kindly rejected me. They didn't feel like my work would be a good fit for their gallery.
A few weeks ago, Insight Gallery contacted me and asked if I would still be interested in being represented be them. Talk about a great email to get! I’m so excited to start working with them.

Upcoming events

March will be a month full of art shows. I will be participating in The Russell Auction in Montana again. This will be my third year up there, and my 2nd year doing the Art in Action painting demo and the big Saturday night auction. I will have two pieces at the auction and a third piece will be available at the March in Montana Auction. That's a lot of stuff, I'll explain more next month.

Upcoming events

I also will be in The Briscoe Museum’s Night of Artists in Texas for the first time at the end of March. I’m excited to be a part of that prestigious show. Tickets are on sale now, if you want to join me in San Antonio!
