What’s driving you?

Everybody has something that motivates them, whether that be the desire to create, to excel, to find security, to be useful, or to be remembered. But over all these motivations, Christians have the driving desire to love God and do His will.

We pray that this is true in your life—as you serve and work with others wherever you are, that it is motivated by love!

New Year...

In January, we started all of our ministries back up after a break for Christmas. This included our annual staff retreat where we pour into our staff members to prepare their hearts for the upcoming year of ministry, and a Young Life youth camp.

At the youth camp, several of our teenage kids were able to learn leadership skills and spent time being strengthened in their relationships with God.

...New Events

We’re incredibly excited about what God has already started doing in our ministry in 2019!

Next month, we’ll be having a couple all-day workshops to train some of our older students so they can be placed in leadership positions within our ministry.

We’re also laying the groundwork to send three of our oldest sponsorship program kids to college (maybe we shouldn't call them "kids" anymore)! We'll update you with more information soon.

Sponsorship Spotlight

We'd like to share about one of the students in our after-school program that’s not yet sponsored. Sponsoring a child is a great opportunity to have a direct impact on a kid here in Nicaragua.

Hariston is 11 years old and has been in our program for two years. At school he enjoys math, and he hopes to be a firefighter when he's older. He is an exceptional boy, and he even volunteers in our children's worship team!
However, he lives in a tough environment, and he wasn't attending school prior to joining our program. Sponsored kids are five times more likely to stay in school, and they receive extra benefits like school supplies, emergency medical care, and a personal connection with you! Invest in Hariston's future today!

Thank you!

We just want to take a moment to give an extra thanks to everyone who gave in December! Thanks to your generosity and our anonymous matching sponsor, we were able to raise an extra $3806.10 plus the matching funds that we received!

Prayer requests:

Two kids in our programs are in extra need of you prayer this month:

  • Abraham. He’s been having a lot of problems at home lately which are weighing heavily on him. Pray that he would see God's nearness and that God would help him overcome his struggles. Pray that we’re given the wisdom needed to minister to him as he needs.
  • Sherling. She is recovering from her second bout of pancreatitis in a year, and is in a lot of pain. Pray for healing in her body, wisdom for doctors to treat her, and understanding for her family to make dietary changes so she can stay healthy.

As always, thank you for joining with us in ministry here in Nicaragua through your continued support and prayers!
