FOCUS Photographic Competition
The FOCUS Photographic Competition is now open for entry until 31 March 2019!
We are calling all amateur photographers to pick up your camera and start taking photos for the 2019 FOCUS Photographic Competition. The competition’s aim is to capture historical reality.
 
There are two categories:
Crossing the Line - some of our local rail crossings will soon change, being relocated or going underground, so now is the time to use your photographic talents to document the way our rail crossings look in the current era!

Pre-1990 Open Themewe encourage locals to find the treasures in their photo albums and get scanning. Any pre-1990 photograph that features a part of the district, such as a park, shops or streets within the City of Armadale could be awarded a prize.
Winners will receive cash prizes and an acrylic mounted print of their image. For full details of prizes, and the Terms & Conditions click here

This exhibition is on display until 30 April, during opening hours at History House Museum.

The exhibition explores what happened to the local men and women that enlisted and survived World War One, through the souvenirs that they brought back with them.

#whoWEare Youth Week 
The City of Armadale is proud of the incredible and diverse young people living in our community. With WA Youth Week taking place in April, we are on the hunt to showcase and celebrate some of those amazing young people.

Community Grants Program opening soon
The second round of the City’s Community Grants Program for 2018/19 will open on Tuesday 5 March.
 
Applications are welcome from community groups and not-for-profit organisations that wish to receive up to $2000 funding for projects which benefit the local community. To be eligible to apply, community groups are required to discuss their project with a member of the Community Services team by Monday 25 March.
