What Makes a Home Spiritually Vibrant?
The size, shape and complexity of households is changing, but the role of the household in instilling and nurturing the Christian faith remains the same.
Join us on February 26, 2019 from 12:00 to 2:00pm MST for a free webcast presentation of the latest research on the households that make up today's Church. Whether you’re a pastor, other Christian leader or just interested in the topic, you’ll learn:
The rituals and relationships that make a spiritually vibrant household
How different households grow faith—regardless of household type or season of life
The different ways fathers and mothers influence faith formation
How faith heritage shapes beliefs in adulthood
How churches and ministries can help create healthy homes
Practical insights for both parents and pastors
This event will illuminate ways practicing Christians’ core relationships engage them in a thoughtful, transformative faith—the kind that holds up to and is passed down over time.
Produced by the team that brought you the State of Pastors (2017) and Gen Z (2018) webcasts, The Spiritually Vibrant Household webcast is the latest offering in the Barna webcast series.
Big Tent
The theme – based on Romans 12:2, chosen by our Stated Clerk, Reverend Dr. J Herbert Nelson II, Called to a Movement beyond Institution, will emphasize our hope of the Gospel and its power to challenge institutional conventions. The goal is to come together and live in this moment, immersed in our current cultural context of racial division, gender inequality, and economic disparity to be renewed, refreshed and reformed, so that we may be sent out to affect change in our own communities. Big Tent will provide a place where our Presbyterian polity and identity is the foothold by which we proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in action and answer the call to discern the will of God together.
Based at two downtown hotels, the Radisson and Lord Baltimore, the event will be accessible and affordable – making it possible for more Presbyterians to come together for a time of learning, engaging, and fellowship.
