Welcome!
<<First Name>>
Most of us probably think of Holy as something to experience. It may be something supernatural and otherworldly like Isaiah saw in the sky. It could also be something very earthy like catching fish, a whole lotta of fish. We hear both of these experiences this Sunday.
However, Jesus makes it clear that he hasn't just come to give us a Holy show but has come to call us to walk toward Holy. And the way he taught his disciples to be redefines our perception of what is Holy.
Who knows whether weather will make things a mess on Sunday. If it looks hazardous be sure to go to our website or call in to find out if we had to cancel. But even if we do not, and it is slippery out there, and you are vulnerable to grave injury if you slip and fall, then please stay home. Click here to go where you can stream the service
Peace,
Rev. Matt Gough

February Challenge Offering: Cambodia
The congregation of First Presbyterian Church has been a powerful presence in Cambodia for over 22 years. For the past few years, our church has supported Friendship with Cambodia, a non-profit organization with humanitarian projects in Cambodia. Friendship with Cambodia supports:
- Scholarship for poor rural students who are high achievers (85% are girls) to pursue university studies. (Less than 10% of the students in Cambodia finish high school).
- A shelter for street children (Currently there are over 4,000 homeless children living in the streets.)
- Work to stop sex trafficking. (Over 5,000 girls under age 18 were sold to brothels in Phnom Penh & are being held as prostitutes.)
- Help for landmine survivors. We are responding for their needs for prosthesis, income generation, house repair, ect. (There remain 4-6 million landmines in the ground from 30 years of war. Every 3 days someone steps on a landmine.)
- Free medical care for children at the Angkor Hospital for Children. (The Piecemakers of our church have provided beautiful quilts to the patients.)
- Women’s Self-Help Groups offering micro-credit programs so that the women can start a business, build a house, purchase a cow or a bicycle, etc. (Women’s economic empowerment is one of the 2 best ways to end poverty. The other is education for girls.)
