A reminder that the annual general meeting of the Association of Deer Management Groups will take place on Thursday 28 February from 10.30am at the Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort. The agenda for the meeting is available.
Please note that there will be an extended panel session at the AGM for which questions from the floor are encouraged. If you have a question or wish to raise a point at this session it would help the organisers if this could be submitted in advance.
Formal AGM business includes Committee elections for Regional Representatives. The current Regional Representatives and Deputy Representatives are as follows:
Area 1 (North Highlands): Tom Chetwynd, Brian Lyall
Area 2 (Ross-shire): Randal Wilson, Willie Fraser
Area 3 (Central Highlands): James Adamson, Drew Macfarlane-Slack
Area 4 (Cairngorms and Grampians): Colin McClean, Julian Clark
Area 5 (West Highlands): Lynda Campbell, Alistair Gibson
Area 6 (South Perthshire and Argyll): TomTurnbull, Victor Clements
Area 7 (The Islands): David Gillies, deputy vacant
Representatives are appointed for two years. Areas 1, 3, 5 and 7 fall due for re-election at this AGM. Those listed for these areas above have indicated their willingness to stand again but other nominations for any of these positions are invited.
The position of ADMG Chairman also falls due for election on a two-year cycle and nominations are invited. Richard Cooke has indicated that he is willing to stand for a further and final term should members wish but an election is required in terms of the Constitution and other nominations for Chairman are invited.
Following lunch there is a seminar on the SNH 2019 Assessment Process and DMG engagement. DMG chairs and secretaries are particularly encouraged to attend

DMG Assessment Programme
The timetable for the 2019 assessment programme of Deer Management Groups by SNH is now available. DMG chairs, secretaries and consultants are asked to take note. Further detail is expected from SNH at the AGM.
