Well Done On Our First Israel Action Day!

Hi Everyone

A very big Thank You to all of you who came along to support our first Israel Action Day on Sunday 17th February in Dublin's Grafton Street. And to those who couldn't make it - thank you for your continued support, messages of goodwill and your encouragement - they are very much appreciated.

We were really pleased that Nati Rom joined us all the way from Shilo in Israel. Nati is the founder of Lev Haolam (Heartland of the World), an organisation that markets and sells online, products from Judea and Samaria (aka the West Bank). These wonderful products, made by individuals, communities and businesses in the Jewish heartland, include cholocates, wine, cosmetics, ceramics and jewelery; those same products that would be deemed illegal if the discriminatory and immoral "Occupied Territories" Bill were to be passed into law, and which we handed out to passersby.

We are very much aware that this Bill is just the thin end of the wedge and that the ultimate goal of the wider Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Movement, is the destruction of the State of Israel. In the words of BDS leader and activist, Omar Barghouti: "Definitely, most definitely we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine." These are hardly the words of a peacemaker!

We had great conversations with hundreds of Dubliners, handed out literature, and explained that not only is BDS non-peaceful but that it hurts the lives and livelihoods of thousands of Palestinians, such as when SodaStream was forced out of the West Bank a few years ago with the loss of 600 Palestinian jobs.

A very warm welcome to our new supporters who signed up at the weekend. So that you don't miss out on any of our video updates, please make sure you subscribe to our YouTube Channel when you click into the video link below. Just hit the red Subscribe button. It's Free!!

Israel Action Day... Rory Cowen of Mrs Brown's Boys popped along to see us!
In the evening Nati gave a very insightful and informative talk and video presentation, followed by a Q&A. We were delighted it was well attended and Nati sold many of his Lev Haolam products.

On Monday, Nati spoke live on Spirit Radio about the toxic effects of BDS and how boycotting is not only insulting to Israelis but damaging to Palestinians. You can listen to the full interview by clicking on the image below. The interview with Nati starts at 10:47.
