Hello Friends,

What a lot of snow we've had lately!  It's been very cold, and very beautiful.  I especially love when the air sparkles with tiny suspended ice particles, a magical atmospheric effect perhaps best enjoyed from the comfort of a warm room.

I am writing now to let you know of some upcoming events in which my work will be shown.

First, a fast-approaching exhibition:

This collaborative exhibition with Frances Vettergreen explores memory, perception and the intelligence of the body.  Next week I will instal several variations of two- and three-dimensional drawings into the main gallery, interwoven with Frances' paintings.  Excitement!  (...and, as always, a few jitters... :)

I will also be hosting a one-day workshop in conjunction with this exhibition, on April 6, 2019.  For more information please click here.

Next: The Mawson Plan
Along with several Art Calgary, I will be showing my work at the stunning new Calgary Public Library in April.  The artworks in this exhibition are inspired by how the City of Calgary may have looked, had the Mawson Plan been implemented.

Finally: The Sketchbook Project
I have filled my sketchbook and sent it off!  Soon it will travel with many other sketchbooks on a bookmobile tour through the US and Canada.  Then it will find its permanent home on the shelves of the Brooklyn Art Library.

Click here for a glimpse inside.

And here's a fun fact:  When you go to the BAL to request a sketchbook to peruse, the librarian will pull your request, plus another randomly selected book.  What fun, eh?

Thank you as always for taking the time to read my newsletter.  Your interest in my work is very much appreciated.

Until next time,
Verna Vogel
