Last month I had the privilege of delivering two trainings to over 35 social impact leaders. Both were really fun sessions, and it’s so humbling that other professionals are willing to give me some of their valuable time.
My first training with the Colorado Nonprofit Association focused on the knowledge and skills organizations need to succeed with a new data system. The second training with the Nonprofit Learning Lab centered around three techniques leaders can use to maximize their existing data assets. I know most of you weren’t able to attend these, so I’m sharing my slides below:
Using data is critical for nonprofits; it helps organizations allocate existing resources, refine their approach, and raise new funding. This playbook describes the spectrum of impact measurement activities, and how moving along this spectrum can help you better understand why your programs work.
The new Non-Profit Strategy Library provides non-profit leaders with a searchable database curated with links to resources and relevant strategic management content. My friend and mentor Nick Takamine put this together - I’m happy to provide an introduction if you find this helpful!
Bridgespan is the grand-daddy of non-profit consulting. Discover what they consider the five keys to measurement success (hint - motivation and leadership are as important as rigor and technical skill).
How can I help?
Would you like to talk more about any of the ideas or resources I shared? I’d love that.
As always, coffee or tea on me!
Thanks!
Paul
