Martin Willing is interested in records for two new species to Sussex and the UK - the Chinese Mystery Snail and the Asian Date Mussel. Details are on page 15 of the Adastra 2018 publication if you'd like to contribute records or find out more.
Mike Edwards has created a
key to the Wasps of the family Vespidae.

Sussex Ornithological Society is planning an SOS field workers meeting on 28
th September at Adastra Hall, Hassocks - more details will be available on their web page nearer the date.
They are also looking for support with the National Willow Tit Survey and
Sussex Turtle Dove Survey for 2019 - details on how to get involved are available
on their website.
Sussex Ancient Tree Forum - A new regional branch of the Ancient Tree Forum is launching in Sussex this year, to be kept updated on developments please
sign up for the newsletter, selecting 'Sussex' from the list of regional groups. Field meetings are to follow, the first of which will be on 11
th May at Sheffield Park. Keep an eye on the website for details.
