Garden Workshops

We are happy to announce that we will be presenting garden workshops for the 2019 season. Our 7-part series will take you through every aspect of your garden, fromplanning, to soil, to seeds, and beyond.

Our first workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 6th, from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Terra Nova Red Barn. If you can't make that date, don't worry! We'll have the same workshop again on Sunday, March 17th from 4:00-5: 30 pm at the Terra Nova Red Barn.

More information and how to sign up is available on our website. For our community gardeners, we are offering a free workshop when you sign-up and pay for a garden workshop, a two for one deal!

New Gardener Orientation - Sign up here!

March 23rd at the Terra Nova Red Barn | 10:00am-12:00pm | More info

Whether you are just joining us this year as a community gardener, or have been with us for a season or more, you are invited to join us for a Gardener Orientation Session.

We will go over community garden rules, why we implement them, and how RFSS will support you and your garden goals. We want you to start your garden on the best foot, so come to our orientation and learn how to get your garden started! Garden questions will be answered!

Upcoming Seed Library Sessions:

  • Saturday, February 23rd, 1:30-4:30pm at Brighouse Library
  • Saturday, March 2nd, 10:00am-2:00pm, Seedy Saturday, swap your seeds at the Thompson Community Centre (bring your seeds, will accept Open Pollinated, local varieties up to 5 years old, if you could test germination rate beforehand, that would be appreciated).
