The Central Oregon British Car Club will have a brief, but important, "celebration of life" for Mert Beebe and Gary Streit following their business meeting on Saturday, February 23rd at 10:30.
It will beheld at Florence Golf Links off 35th in the meeting room (on left as you enter).
Rhody Cruisers members are invited, and may bring any memorabilia or stories that they would like to share with the group at that time. Since both Mert and Gary had their birthdays in February; this is the time to do it. We would love to see some your cars in the parking lot as well, weather permitting. There is ample parking.

(Update) Mert Beebe: On February 9th our dear friend Mert Beebe would have turned 84. I also have to report that his wife, Chris passed this week also. Obviously there will be no celebration of life for Mert, as previously planned for February. I will hopefully have further details, but for now we morn her passing. -- Hank Leach, VP Oregon Coast British Car Club.
In addition to his stunning 55 Chevy, Mert also owned this beautiful MG B with a Chevy V6.

Gary Streit
 Gary was a great enthusiast, and attended all the Rhody Days and Wings & Wheels car shows with his shiny red Triumph, winning best Foreign Car one year. Gary was a member of Central Oregon Coast British Car Club, and a good friend of Sandy Coyne.
He Passed at his home in Texas.

 The Thursday AM Coffee Cruise is a Big Success. It is attended by many members for Coffee, muffins and cookies. Before and after coffee it turns into a Stand-Around, lookin at cars and talking. Get the latest on events and projects.

The Rhody Cruisers had a busy 2018.
We attended dozens of Car Shows, bringing Glory and Booty to our humble group. We quickly organized a Stand-Around Show for visiting guests in June. We helped with Wings & Wheels, and made a major contribution to Rods 'N Rhodies. We participated in the Rhody Days Parade, and paraded to honor our Veterans last month. Together we brought in donations of Christmas Joy for those in need. We paid our respect to those folks being cared for at Spruce Point and Shorewood Living. I am very proud of our little club, and look forward to another year of community support, good times, and good friends. One of the best things we do is to meet monthly, and toss around ideas about upcoming events. Our around-the-room discussions are fabulous. Many thanks for that go to ...Ann, and the great staff at the A&W.
