FEBRUARY NEWS
This month, we've watched as heavy machinery started to pull down Bristol's most infamous eyesore, the former sorting office, and we've enjoyed meeting community and business representatives to discuss the future of Temple Quarter.
As masterplanning work begins to pick up pace, you can have your say and help shape the first draft plans for the area by completing our online survey.

The future Temple Quarter: your say
This week, we've launched an online survey to gather views from Bristol residents on what you want to see in the Temple Quarter of the future.
Whether it's how you access and use the station, provision of green and public space, affordable housing, jobs and employment, or something else entirely, tell us what's important to you. The responses will be shared with the team working to produce the first draft of the masterplan for the area.
You can find the survey on the council's Consultation Hub until 20 March.

Demolition of the former sorting office
On 30 January, the Mayor gave the order for the first bite to be taken out of the former sorting office. Bittersweet for some but, for most, a cause for celebration to wave farewell to the derelict building in anticipation of the University of Bristol's new Enterprise Campus, due to open on this site in 2022.
Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees said: “As well as creating a brand new university campus, the clearance of this site will unlock new routes to the station and open up vital links between the East of Bristol and the centre."
If you're passing along Cattle Market Road, or catching a train from Temple Meads, make sure you have a peek at progress on site.

Good and Proper
There's a new kid in town at Temple Meads Station. Good & Proper is for everyone who has ever lamented the lack of options when buying a picnic for their journey. In their own words, it's fast food, done properly.
We spoke to Clare Morris about her experience of starting a business, plans for the future and why she chose Temple Meads as the home for Good & Proper. Read all about it in our latest business profile.
