March Update from AAA Play
This month, read more about the evaluation currently being conducted by the Centre for Sport and Social Impact at La Trobe University. AAA Play strives for continuous improvement and this will further support goal of helping people with disabilities to get active. It's exciting to be able to be proactive in pursuing this with feedback from the people who know us best - you!
March is also delivering a HUGE range of events and new activities for you to experience and we reflect on some of the fantastic initiatives presently happening. 2019 started in high speed and it's shaping up to be a phenomenal year.

In the Spotlight
Looking Back: Education & Employment for People of All Abilities
Can you think of a better way to kick off the start of the month, than being immersed in a collective of inspirational individuals, exploring the education and employment for people of all abilities at the February Sport and Recreation Victoria Community of Practice? Employment for people with disability is crucial to ensuring the work force we have is reflective of the communities that we work in as sport organisations.
A series of short case studies were presented, demonstrating meaningful employment in the sport and recreation sector, such as the project by Disability Sport & Recreation (DSR).
Disability Sport & Recreation has begun a new project focussing on helping a group of women with disability find employment. The project also looks at how to support sport organisations to be more inclusive and accessible through the building of capacity.

Looking Forward: Have your say on AAA Play
The Centre for Sport and Social Impact at La Trobe University is evaluating the Access for All Abilities (AAA) Play service on behalf of Sport and Recreation Victoria. They want to know what is working well, what isn’t working well, and hear any suggestions on how to improve AAA Play.
If you have used the AAA Play service, either to link a person with a disability to a sports participation opportunity, or to let people with a disability know about the AAA events and activities that your sport offers, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

ASD Play Gym Balwyn
ASD Play Gym is an inclusive gymnastics session designed for preschool aged children who may have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) conditions.

Access All Abilities (AAA) Futsal is a fun, safe, easy, and inclusive program for boys and girls with disability, aged 12 years and above.

Huge success for Adaptive Climbing Victoria

AAA Ambassador News
Consistent with the theme of education and employment outcomes this month, AAA Play headed to Catalyst Training at The Bridge in Thornbury, to work with the students seeking to learn new ways to connect with their community.
Catalyst Training is a Registered Training Organisation that delivers accredited training to adults with an intellectual disability. Through their courses, they aim to provide training that seeks to attain employment outcomes, increase community connections, and build unpaid connections.
