Project meeting: Galway (Ireland)
The project held its third transnational meeting in Galway in September, 2018.
Led by project leader Professor Kevin Burden, members discussed a range of issues relating to the project’s progress including the design and content development for the MOOC, the related app and the creation of inspirational video exemplars by partners and other resources based on the innovation principles reported on in the Scoping study.
A big thank-you to Seán Ó Grádaigh and Tony Hall and colleagues from the School of Education at the National University of Ireland (NUI) for hosting this event, including a micro teaching demo with local student teachers and for coaching us during the vibrant intercultural (evening) sessions.

Conference presentations
In October project coordinator Kevin Burden (University of HULL) presented a keynote and ran a workshop about the DEIMP project at the Learning and Skills Autumn Conference, organised by the Northumberland County Council (UK)
On behalf of DEIMP project partner TELLConsult Ton Koenraad ran a workshop on features of and design principles for innovative mobile learning as being researched in the DEIMP project and previous related projects (e.g the MTEPP project) at EUROCALL's annual conference, this time in Finland.

National Multiplier Events
As reported before the UK DEIMP team members organised a meeting with teachers in York on 14th September 2018.
CARDET organised its first Multiplier event in Cyprus on October 24, 2018 at the premises of the 2nd Primary School of Engomi, in Nicosia.
Twenty primary school teachers, the school leader, and the vice principal of the school attended the event and expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the mobile application, and the fruitful discussions that were conducted including topics such as the pedagogical principles that underlie the development of mobile learning material.
Overall, the event facilitated the exchange of opinions especially on the development of the DEIMP mobile application and served as a great opportunity for partners to reflect on specific issues while working to make the mobile application an efficient, useful and user-friendly tool for all users.
National University of Ireland (NUI)
The DEIMP Erasmus+ Galway Multiplier was held on October 19th, 2018 in the School of Education, National University of Ireland Galway.
The event was well attended with representation from eight schools: Coláiste Mhuire, Thurles, County Tipperary; Scoil Bhríde, Shantalla, Galway; Glenamaddy Community College, Co. Galway; Gaelcholaiste Reachrann, Co.Dublin; Coláiste Pobail Osraí, Co. Kilkenny; Gaelcholáiste an Phiarsaigh, Co. Dublin; Meanscoil Gharman, County Wexford as well as representation from the School of Education, NUI Galway.
The day began with an overview of the project thus far which included a workshop on the SLR terms from the systematic literature review.
This was followed by a presentation from Glenamaddy Community School (Aoife Burke & Brigid Lyons) on their successful K1 application which was really well recieved by all delegates. Ray Kirtley presented by Zoom conference and shared great insights into the K1 travel application process. Examples of sample mobile scenarios were also demonstrated and experienced. The day concluded with a professional learning workshop by Seán Ó Grádaigh which featured recent iPad in Education updates for Keynotes, Pages and Numbers.
It was a most enjoyable day and delegates left excited. They completed the survey and left Galway looking forward to testing the mobile scenarios in their schools.
InHolland University
On October 3rd Inholland University of Applied Sciences organized their first DEIMP multiplier event in The Hague. Over 30 teachers of partnerschools in primary education, teacher educators and researchers applied for this mini-conference about the transformative use of mobile technology for teaching and learning.

Next, participants could join one of two workshops. Marjan organized a workshop about design principles for innovative mobile pedagogies. Dr. Jos Fransen, head of the research center Teaching, Learning & Technology, organized a workshop about successful implementation of mobile technology in schools.
Mobile learning expert Fons van den Berg of See Genius reflected on the insights that were discussed during this multiplier event and gave his perspective on innovative pedagogies with use of mobile technologies. It was a successful multiplier event, where teachers, teacher educators and researchers could share their ideas about the use of mobile technology in the classroom.

PXL University
The first Deimp multiplier event at the Faculty of Education of Hogeschool PXL University of Applied Sciences in Hasselt (Belgium) took place on September 14, 2018.
It was an interesting meeting with participants from all the partner schools involved.The delegates got to know each other, learned more about the project and the theoretical framework of transformative mobile learning. In a hands-on session they worked in small groups in which they evaluated and worked on suggestions for improvement of a number of mobile learning scenario cases.
More information was provided about the next steps in the project and ideas on how to develop the planned online course (MOOC) for the project were collected.
University of Technology, Sydney
The DEIMP Australian Multiplier Meeting took place on 25 October. After the project's aims & objectives were presented participating schools including Surf Coast, Parramatta PS and Northern Beaches shared their current innovative teaching practices using mobile technologies. This was followed up by exploring the principles identified in Deimp's scoping study to introduce ideas on what innovative mobile learning looks like. To get feedback from delegates on how inspirational video exemplars for inclusion in the DEIMP app should look like a first examplar design was presented.
Finally participants were informed about the upcoming project stages and its final meeting plus the related LTT event and professional development course 'Designing and Evaluating Innovative Mobile Pedagogies' in Cyprus, 2020
