This monthly meeting is aimed towards those nonprofit staff members, paid and volunteer, for whom ‘community outreach’ is a primary job component. It’s an opportunity for colleagues to learn and share from one another’s expertise and experience in this particular area of nonprofit management. Discussion topics are generated from the group with participants volunteering to facilitate meetings. Free parking is available behind the Buskirk-Chumley Theater and at the Walnut Street garage.  Breakfast is on your own. 

Bloomington Bicycle Club
The Bloomington Bicycle Club, Inc. (BBC) is pleased to announce it is now accepting proposals from nonprofit organizations and programs, schools, and other civic-minded organizations for grant-funding. The application deadline is February 28, 2019. For more information: Click Here!

Indiana Arts Commission:  Arts Project Support Grants Opportunity
The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) is a state agency funded by the General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts. BCCF is the official Region 8 Arts Partner and our charge is to work alongside the Commission to promote and expand participation in the arts for our region, which includes Brown, Morgan, Monroe, Owen, Greene, Martin, Lawrence, and Orange counties. This includes providing access to funding opportunities like the Regional Initiative Grants (Arts Project Support and Arts Organization Support I, II).

Arts Project Support (APS) grants provide funding to Indiana arts and non-arts organizations to support a distinct aspect of the organization’s arts activities, such as a one-time event; a single production; an exhibition; an educational seminar; or series of related arts activities, such as art classes or training sessions.  APS applicants may request up to $5,000 or up to 50% of allowable project expenses, whichever is less.  Deadline to apply is March 5, 2019.  Click HERE for details.

The IU Serve IT Nonprofit Clinic can provide 501c3 or equivalent nonprofit organizations with quality legally refurbished PCs completely free of charge. Currently, we have desktop PCs with Linux or Windows 7/8/10 in stock. It is also possible to receive a machine with MS Office installed as well. Up to 5 PCs can be requested at one time.

Computers can be delivered to your organization, and our tech team will be happy to assist with setup if needed. The request form can be found here.

Lotus Education and Arts Foundation
Executive Director
The Lotus Education and Arts Foundation is seeking a full-time Executive Director to lead a robust non-profit multicultural arts organization based in Bloomington, Indiana.  The organization’s year-round initiatives include one of the oldest world music festivals in the U.S.; a highly impactful arts-education program in schools; community visual-arts outreach; and concerts, classes, and more in its recently renovated Lotus Firebay venue. 

The Lotus Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for strategically advancing the mission of Lotus, serving as its public face and the primary administrator for the daily operations of the organization.  ED responsibilities include strategic visioning; financial management, contract administration, and legal compliance; staffing and staff supervision; oversight and evaluation of program development and delivery; oversight and evaluation of fundraising, grant writing, marketing, and communication efforts; oversight of Lotus building and its utilization; and effective Board, community, partner, and stakeholder relations.  The ED also has direct responsibility for executing certain areas of program content, production, logistics, and infrastructure.

Engagement and Development Coordinator
The Engagement and Development Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County (HFHMC)engages productively and positively with a variety of stakeholders and supporters, tactically ensuring that all constituents, volunteers, and donors who are interested in supporting and engaging with HFHMC have the opportunity contribute their unique gifts. This position reports directly to the Development Director.
