SACSCOC Quiz

ETBU has selected a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) as a part of its SACSCOC reaffirmation process entitled Thrive: Cultivating Student Success Through Intentional Mentoring. To educate faculty and staff on the program's goals, the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness has created a weekly quiz. There will be weekly prizes for those who answer correctly and a grand prize for the individual who has the best overall score. To test your knowledge, click here.

PREVIEW EVENT CENTERPIECES

To promote the various disciplines across campus during all preview events, the Office of Admissions is arranging centerpieces with items that represent each department. To donate items such as textbooks, calculators, uniforms, music sheets, etc., for Admissions to keep long-term, please contact ETBU Campus Visit Coordinator Whitney Henson at whenson@etbu.edu or ext. 2014.

FACULTY/STAFF ISRAEL TRIP

ETBU is offering a faculty and staff trip to Israel September 23 - October 2, 2019. An informational session will be held on Thursday, February 21 at 3:30 p.m. You may register by visiting the Global Education Center, OSLC to complete the paperwork.

ETBU Theatre invites you to their next production, Men on Boats by Jacklyn Backhaus. Held in the Mabee Recital Hall of the Jenna Guest Music Building, performances will be on Thursday, February 21 through Saturday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 24 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission or free with an ETBU I.D. congreso experience

ETBU will host a Congreso Experience on Saturday, March 2 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. in partnership with Texas Baptists (BGCT). Themed “Alive,” based on Galatians 2:20, the free event will encourage students in their education and spiritual walk. Specifically designed for Hispanic students, the ETBU Congreso Experience will consist of workshops, corporate worship, and group activities. To learn more and register, visit etbu.edu/congreso.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please be in prayer for the senior nursing students, who are approaching graduation. Our future nurses are applying and interviewing for jobs, completing their final semester of clinicals, and preparing to take the HESI and NCLEX exams. Pray for our nursing students to trust in the Lord and his plan for their lives.

Please pray for ETBU students serving in the Marshall community this semester to find joy in carving out time to serve in the midst of their busy schedules. Pray for our students to be a blessing to those the Lord has placed in their path.

While treating ETBU sophomore Angel McDaniel's pneumonia, the doctor discovered a mass on her lungs and recommended a follow up with an oncologist. Pray for the Lord to heal Angel’s pneumonia and remove the mass from her lungs. Pray for Angel to put her trust in the Lord and to rely on Him for peace and strength.

This semester, please be in prayer for the University chapel services. Pray that each of the speakers will clearly articulate the message God has placed on their heart. Ask that our students put aside distractions to be receptive. Also, pray for our student bands as they lead their peers, faculty, and staff in worship. Pray for the chapel experience to continue to be a time for the ETBU community to worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth.

Lift up the students, who will serve at Beach Reach with the Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) during spring break. Ask the Lord to begin preparing their hearts and provide financially. Pray that the students would be fully engaged in their training and experience peace.
