Celebrate Black History Month at St. Matthew's Cathedral

Join members of St. Matthew's Cathedral Social Justice Ministry as we celebrate Black History Month this month. Our theme this year is "Hands of Mercy: The Challenge of Racism."
  • Sunday, February 17: Join us at 2:30pm for a discussion on Cardinal Wuerl's Pastoral Letter, The Challenge of Racism.  Sandra Coles-Bell, program director for the Archdiocesan Office of Cultural Diversity and Outreach, will lead the discussion. We will also hear from three St. Matthew's parishioners as they share what Black History Month means to them. Martin Lange will speak about "We Wear the Mask." Gloria Harrington will speak on "Understanding Promotes Unity." And George Page will take a look at Frederick Douglass and his life.
More information can be found here. All events are free and open to parishioners, visitors, and guests! If you have any questions, email Lydia Clegg
