A Word from the Pastors
Greetings members and friends of Hyde Park Union Church! I pray that your week has been a good one! Everyday of our lives is another day to experience God's love, peace, compassion, and joy. Sometimes life get's hard. Even in those times, know that God is with you.

There's been a song in my spirit all week" A Great Work" by Chicago Gospel artist Brian Courtney Wilson. Part of the chorus is "God is doing a great work..." The song is based off of the scripture Philippians 1:6, "I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ." God is doing a great work in us, and in the world. At times it does not appear to be so. But God's ways are not our ways. I am more than confident, that God is doing a great work!

God is certainly doing a great work at HPUC! And we will celebrate this great work this coming Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Installation Service at 3:00 pm. We will have many guests joining us! It will be a great time of celebration, and Sarah and I are excited for all that will happen! We pray that you will be there to participate and to receive all that God has in store for you! See you Sunday, first at 10 am for morning worship, then back at 3 pm for the Installation Service!

With love,
Pastor V
