I enjoyed my visit to Prism Power Group who are based in Watford Business Park. There I met engineers who were building and designing bespoke switchgear systems for projects all over Europe. They employ nearly 50 people in our area, including 4 new apprentices. I congratulate them on being certified as Fit 4 Nuclear after demonstrating their capability to support the power infrastructure needs of the civil nuclear industry.
Wednesday 20th March is the International Day of Happiness. As we focus on raising awareness of Mental Health, I thought it would be a great opportunity to run a competition for local schools, helping them to focus on the things that make them happy, following last year’s excellent art competition. It may be a photo of their family or friends, their favourite toy or a drawing of their pet. I want as much creativity as possible!
I'm very optimistic that transformational plans will finally bring Watford Junction into the 21st Century as the Government-funded agency, Homes England, visit Watford to discuss funding a new passenger bridge. Click here to find out more.
I recently had a very positive meeting with the Chief Executive of The Abbeyfield Society to discuss my concerns regarding the potential closure of Tannerswood in Abbots Langley. I'm delighted that the notice of closure has now been withdrawn. Click here for a full update.

It's fantastic that intu have recently invested in Watford, and I do think it's testament to our growing local economy. The new development has created nearly 200 new jobs in the 13 new stores

I enjoyed another lively Q&A session with the Politics Society at Watford Grammar School for Boys. With my annual debating competition coming up, it was great to see that the Politics Society has grown in popularity as they prepare.
In recent weeks, I've welcomed Abbots Langley Primary School, Nascot Wood Primary School and Bromet Primary School to Parliament for tours and Q&As with me. Thanks to all the teachers for organising such great days.

It was my pleasure to nominate Linda McIntyre, CEO of Watford Workshop, for a community award recognising her outstanding dedication to improving the lives of disabled people in Watford.
